There is something slightly disturbing about grown women doling out rubber bracelets meant for children—especially since it's in an effort to get laid. Today the Daily News57 reports on the latest cheesy pick-up line: Silly Bandz58.
One woman admitted to the paper that she hands out the rubber bracelets (popular with the elementary school set), and told them, "If both parties are feeling a connection, then it's a non-intimidating way to initiate contact exchanges like numbers or Facebook pages."
A 32-year-old financial planner, James Santos, claims he's been given several bracelets, and now keeps his own stash and wears them out. He told the paper, "People always notice them. They are a great conversation starter."
